Engagement Rings Direct (DBA Mark Turnowski, Inc.) guarantees unconditional customer satisfaction by providing you with the best possible diamond buying experience.

All of our diamonds are graded either by GIA or AGS, the most reputable gemological grading laboratories in the world. Each piece of jewelry purchased, whether from a collection or a custom designed item, is manufactured to the highest quality standards of craftsmanship and integrity.

With a total of over 90 years of combined gemological, wholesale and retail experience, our on-site staff of GIA trained gemologists and jewelers inspect and evaluate all items and each diamond offered for sale for quality and value.

Order Process and Availability
  1. Customers have the ability to place an order online.
  2. Credit Card information will be collected at the time of order, but will not be processed until Customer confirms the order with an Engagement Rings Direct representative.
  3. All orders are processed offline and billing information is kept confidential. Under no circumstance is this data shared with any 3rd party.
  4. An ERD representative will contact customers placing orders online by the information provided at the time of checkout.
  5. Inventory on the Engagement Rings Direct website is updated often, but 100% availability is not guaranteed.
  6. An ERD representative will personally notify you of product availability at the time of order confirmation.
  7. If a particular diamond is no longer in stock, Engagement Rings Direct will work with you to select a comparable alternative.
Third Party Independent Appraisals
  • If you choose to send your diamond to an independent appraiser, ERD requires a pre-payment of $250. If you purchase the diamond, this amount will be applied against your purchase price. Otherwise, this payment is non-refundable.
Payment Methods

Engagement Rings Direct offers a variety of convenient payment methods.

  1. We accept Bank Wire Transfers, Checks (personal and certified bank) and Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express).
  2. Credit card purchases require an additional 3% convenience fee. These fees are not refundable.
  3. Customers paying by wire transfer will receive wiring instructions once they have completed the order process.
  4. For International Orders, the only accepted form of payment is wire transfer.
  5. Any personal check must be drawn from a US bank account and have the customer's name and address imprinted on the front of the check
  6. Engagement Rings Direct reserves the right to deposit and hold each personal check, certified check or money order payment and reserve shipping for up to ten business days.
  7. Any orders indicating payment by check, where payment has not been received for 10 days, will be postponed until the payment issue is resolved. Any specific diamonds will be added back into public inventory and, in some instances, may become unavailable.
  8. All checks must be payable to "ARL Co."

  10. All orders including the ERD Collection, Mark T Collection and Design a Dream Ring require a deposit of 20% of the value of your purchase.
  11. All custom orders require a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the value of the custom mounting, minus the value of the center stone.
  12. All open balances must be satisfied in full prior to your purchase being shipped.

Shipping Policy

Mark Turnowski, Inc. will ship your purchases directly to your home or office using the fastest and most secure methods possible. In addition, we offer Free Shipping on all orders.

Mark Turnowski, Inc...

  1. Inspects all purchases prior to shipment for quality assurance.
  2. Requires the customer provide a physical home or business address.
  3. Conducts 3rd party address verification prior to shipment.
  4. Provides insurance at the full value of the shipment.
  5. Ships all merchandise using FedEx overnight services for the most reliable and secure delivery.
  6. Requires a valid signature from the client at the time of delivery in order to accept the shipment.
  7. Does not drop ship.
  8. Reserves the right to refuse shipment if requirements are not met.
  9. Will not ship until payment is received in full.

Free Shipping Policy:

  1. Includes the purchase of a loose diamond, Mark T Collection item or custom designed jewelry with a value over $500.
  2. Delivery address must be within the continental United States.

International Shipping:

Mark Turnowski, Inc. offers insured shipping for its international customers.

  1. An international insured shipping charge will be added for all overseas purchases and determined by the specific delivery location.
  2. Customer is responsible for any surcharges required by the delivery country. This includes any duties, VAT and any other import taxes.
  3. It is the customer's responsibility to confirm these surcharges with local authorities before finalizing an order with Engagement Rings Direct.
  4. Military personnel located overseas may request their packages shipped to an APO location. Engagement Rings Direct will accommodate this request but please be aware that APO shipments are made through the US Post Office and can take up to three weeks to arrive.
Return Policy

Customers can take advantage of our 14 day money-back return policy on all diamonds. After examining and evaluating your purchase, you may return your diamond for any reason.

Below are our return policies and procedures. Should you need assistance with a return at any time, please contact our office at 212.221.1594, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9am - 5pm (EST), or send an e-mail to info@engagementringsdirect.com.

All Orders Return Policies:

The Customer is responsible for all Return Shipments.

  1. All shipments must display a Return Authorization (RA#) on outside of box. Contact our office at 212.221.1594, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9am - 5pm (EST) to obtain your RA#. If your shipment does not display an RA #, it will be refused.
  2. All diamond returns and stock mountings are subject to a $75 re-stocking fee.
  3. All fees associated with credit card usage are not refundable.
  4. All packages must be shipped, fully insured, for the purchase amount.
  5. You will receive invoice value of your center stone (less a $75 restocking fee), provided all criteria stated below are satisfied. Custom mountings are not returnable for credit or exchange.
  6. The 14 day period "return window" commences the day you receive your package.
  7. Return shipments arriving postmarked after the 14 day return policy has expired will be refused and returned back to the sender.
  8. Engagement Rings Direct is not responsible for any possible claims if the item is lost and/or not insured for the full amount of the purchase.
  9. All original laboratory reports, appraisals and sales receipts must be included in the shipment.
  10. The original grading certificate is required with your return. A service charge of $150 applies to all Returns or Trade-Ups received without original Diamond Laboratory certificate.
  11. Engagement Rings Direct reserves the right to inspect and evaluate the diamond for any damages or fraudulent activity. If damages are found the customer will be notified immediately and the item submitted to a reputable 3rd party for further evaluation and verification of the extent of damage.
  12. Engagement Rings Direct reserves the right to negotiate a settlement cost for damaged return merchandise.
  13. All refunds will be processed within five days.
  14. At the conclusion of our inspection we will issue a refund by company check.
Lifetime Trade-Up Policy

Engagement Ring Direct offers a trade-up for the full value of your loose diamond.


  1. "Full Value" applies to the value you paid for the center stone/loose diamond at the time of your original purchase.
  2. Trade-Up Purchases require a minimum added value of 40% of the original purchase price. (i.e. a $10,000 purchase must have a minimum of $4,000 trade-up price to receive the $10,000 credit)
  3. Engagement Ring Direct reserves the right to inspect and evaluate the diamond for any damages or fraudulent activity.
  4. Original Diamond grading certificate is required with return. A service charge of $150 applies to all Trade-Ups that do not include your original document.

Two Year Buy-Back Policy

Should you wish to sell your diamond after the 14 day Return Policy is expired, Engagement Rings Direct will buy back your diamond up to two (2) years after your purchase.


  1. We do not buy back diamonds with a color grade lower than "I" and/ora clarity lower than "SI1"
  2. The 2 year period begins on your original invoice date.
  3. Buy-Back is equal to 60% of the customer's original purchase price for only the center diamond.
  4. Buy-Back includes GIA or AGS graded diamonds only. It does not apply to any jewelry.
  5. Diamond must be in the original condition as indicated on the Diamond Certificate.
  6. Engagement Rings Direct reserves the right to inspect and evaluate the diamond for any damages or fraudulent activity.
  7. If damages are found the customer will be notified immediately. The diamond will be submitted to a reputable and independent 3rd party for further evaluation.
  8. Based on damage or suspicion of fraud, Engagement Rings Direct reserves the right to negotiate a new price or decline the Buy-Back.
  9. Original grading certificates are required with return. A service charge of $150 applies to all Buy-Backs without original certificate.
Ring Sizing Policy

All ERD customers are entitled to one (1) complementary sizing for up to 30 days following the delivery of your ring.


  • The Customer is responsible for all Return Shipments for re-sizing
  • All packages must be shipped fully insured for the purchase amount.

Your return shipment will be sent to you, no charge, via 2nd Day Federal Express.


A copy of your original invoice must be included to qualify for this no-charge service. Please address package to:

Warranty Claim Policy

All Engagement Rings Direct products are warranted for a 5 year period from the day of delivery. This warranty includes the repair of any product due to faulty workmanship during the manufacturing process or any product failure not due to excessive wear and tear or accidental damage


All product failure suffered due to excessive "wear and tear" or accidental damage will not be covered by our warranty.


If you wish to return your jewelry for warranty repair, please notify Engagement Rings Direct and we will provide you with the proper mailing instructions including a Return Authorization (RA#) number. This number must be posted clearly on outside of box.

Upon receipt of your jewelry it will be inspected to determine if it qualifies for warranty coverage. You will be immediately notified of our assessment.


If your purchase is covered by our warranty, Engagement Rings Direct will provide a no-charge repair plus the refund of all documented shipping costs, as well as free shipping for the return of your purchase.

If we determine that the product damage is the result of normal wear and tear, or is the result of circumstances beyond the control of Engagement Rings Direct, then all charges will be the responsibility of the customer.
